My *New* guitars and some happy snaps from vietnam!

I was woken up this morning by the postman guy at the door, and no this is not some intro to some corny porno... Anyway, my guitar had finally come! It is an Epiphone Les Paul Standard.

le package

I skipped uni to make the last minute bid! Well it was only just one lecture.

Here is my 2nd newest guitar which I bought from Vietnam, and as you can see it still has the price sticker on the bridge of the guitar because when I took half of it off there was that bloody sticky resin... How much did i get it for considering it was from Vietnam? 5,200,000 dong, i'll let you figure that out yourself if you can be bothered, if not tough luck my friend.

Here's an acoustic I also got from Vietnam, and was my temporary guitar for a week since I got really bored a lot of the times over there. Feeling a little charitable, I decided to give it to my cousin who lives there. The price of this sweet baby was 250,000 dong, and again I'll let you smart smart people figure that out for yourselves.

Some fighting cocks/roosters at the local market!

Do you see anything interesting in this photo?

HOW ABOUT NOW! Its a natural rock formation of what seems to be a woman with a baby on her back. Oooo chills. The locals say that it was naturally occurring, but find it hard to believe.

COWS! There are lots of cows in Vietnam.

My cousin's and I did the unthinkable... yes that's right we watched Eclipse! How was the movie? Shit. That's all you need to know. Another observation, Vietnamese people tend to be extremely loud in the cinemas there... >: 9

Rain that came out of nowhere.

Mum really liked this hat we got from Ha Long Bay, so I took a photo!

Dearest grandmother! 90 and still going strong!

Cousin's wedding reception, she's taller than him ahah.

VIETNAMESE TERRORISTS! Nah jokes, we'd make bad terrorists anyway. Just look at their getaway car!

Some illegal driving. Flipping the bird has now become a popular form of body language on the streets!

Result of illegal driving.

Cousin Jen

And to finish off, the Scrubs soundtrack!

Catch!

My two weeks till exams!

EXAMS EXAMS! What to do now? Study? In time, in time.
With so much spare time on my hands, I tried to figure out what my favourite 80's/90's song was. This was the end result, Africa by Toto! (they even played it in scrubs! hehe :-9)

and Land Down Under by Men at Work came close!

After countless mentions of dogs in my conversations over the past few weeks, I thought I might post some photos of my dog Milly! She's a Jack Russell cross with some other dog, Maltese maybe? Who knows...

Things I'm looking forward to:
- Visiting Dr. Acular with Emily to finally give blood after exams!
- Trip to Vietnam
- MUSE!!! SDHFKJDSKDSLFLDS;ML;SDMFLKSDJKFDMSNLK MUSEEE!!!! Thanks Michelle for the awesome tickets!:- )

Later!

My life thus far

To those people who are excited about finishing year 12 to move onto uni and experience that feeling of freedom, don't be. Sorry to burst yo bubble, but its just the truth. Why spend 13 years of stressful schooling, just to get a good enough score in order to spend another 3 - 5 years of extra mind numbing work? It just doesn't make any sense... S'cuse me while i jump off this bridge. Is what someone would say who hates their uni/tafe course!
But nah, uni is great despite all the bloody assignments and exams... Good news is that i've got clinical placements next semester! My first placements are going to be in aged care, and I cannot wait! Finally i get to be a somebody! A somebody who gives sponge bathes to the elderly... BUT YEAH, should be super fun working with the older generation!

Anyway, for my group's upcomming assignment we are required to come up with a case scenario involving a man aged >65 suffering medical conditions and blah blah. Heres what my group and I came up with...
- Antonio Gavanga, aged 68
- has a daughter living independantly with 3 grandchildren aged 10
- carpenter
- is of Italian background (moved from Italy 30 years ago)
- wife passed away 2 years ago from breast cancer
- a stroke victim, and only has partial motor skills on the left side of his body

- is easily irritated

- shows signs of depression

- suffers from arthritis

- has an addiction to pain killers, as he is dependent on it to relieve the pain in his joints

Poor Antonio has it tough...

Goot-bai!
:-)

PS: "eff" you to the drugged up lady who spilled coke on my jeans on the train today.

My suit up!

Got up at 10. Took a shower. Put on Radiohead. Had a sausage and egg breakfast, mmm. Went to Vic Roads to replace my lost log book. Walked to the station. Scanned myki. Bought a bottle of water. Got into train. Took a snooze. Got off at Flinders. Met Michelle. Walked with her to the Lounge. Talked about that one movie we watched together ages ago that I couldn't remember (Disturbia). Waited for Luke. Left to meet up with Annie. Commented on how gay her nails were. Walked around aimlessly looking for a tripod for my camera, failed. Went back to Flinder's to meet up with Luke and Michelle. While waiting for them ate some Lord of the Fries fries. Spotted Jec's doppelganger. Took a stalker shot of him. Met with the bunch. Walked to DFO at the south wharf, and bumped into MYCHONNY! Went rock climbing for 5 bucks (good find Annie!). Popped on harness. Climbed the rocks. Failed on 2nd attempt at this epic rock figure. Went around looking for suits. Found suit. Went to T-bar (good find again Annie!). Michelle and Annie ventured off to the land of the... "YOU. SHALL. NOT. PASS!". Luke and I shopped some more. Rambled on about how Myki is rubish. Walked towards Flinder's. Got a message saying that Annie and Michelle were leaving. We told them we had ice cream waiting for them (we didn't), failed. Hopped on train. Luke got off at West Footscray. Stayed on the train till Albion because I had some kind of an epiphany and got caught up in it. Took the train back to Sunshine. Bumped into some friends at Sunshine station. Saw Michelle and Annie. Said our goodbyes. Got on the 408 bus. Walked home in the rain. Played MW2 with Jec. Strummed the guitar for a while. Admired the suit for a little while. Das ende!
Tchau!

I made it look like i was taking a photo of Annie, BUT I CLEARLY WAS NOT! HAR-HAR! Evil i am.

My night

Today, i mean yesterday was Jason's 18th party, or should i say "Jonas'" party. It was fully sick, and we had fully sick music playing, and fully sick food and drink, and fully sick people, and a fully sick shed, and a fully sick ping pong table. I think I'm still a little bit intoxicated so excuse my weirdness in this post.

LET'S DDR! LET'S WASH OUR HAIR! LET'S SWIPE OUR CARDS! LET'S STIR THE NOODLES! LET'S MILK THE COW! LET'S CHANGE THE LIGHT BULBS! LET'S i cannot remember the rest.

ciao!

My day

Finally got my uni id today! Why the hell do id card photos always come out so shite? I honestly look like a hermit crab of some sort. Anyway this is now the look i must carry for the remainder of my uni life (3 years). But ezz cool yo!

Mum and dad made me get my passport photos taken today, as my older one had a photo of some strikingly handsome young boy that looked like Moi'. Is it me, or has footscray become even more superdooperly overpopulated? Making my way to the shop was effing hard because of all the people... As i was about to get my shots taken, my mum had once again began to rant on about my hair being too long as it was "BAD-BOY!". Even the photographer joined in! WHO ASKED FOR YOUR INPUT MISTER PHOTOGRAPHER GUY!? >:[

Before going to work, i went for a drive with my fasha. Just drove around in circles in an empty parking lot, always good fun :) Work was the same, slice tomatoes, prep the tuna, seafood, onions, refill drink fridge, take out garbage, top up sauces/veges, sweep, mop, clean windows, make bread, and then on bottom of the list... clean the toilet, which is oh yes of course always a pleasure to do! I confess i may have accidently touched the sidebowl twice... okay thrice.

Adios!

Some place far away

Greetings! Wow my first ever post, how very exciting :) (no that was not one bit sarcastic)
Well I've just come back from wait for it...

yes that's right, Torquay! (well to be more specific Janjuc)
While Declan, Michelle and Annie were fortunate enough to be driven to the joint, John and I had to endure a 2 and a hour long trip on the V-line/bus to our destination. Nonetheless we still made it there first, without the keys to the holiday house... but not to worry as John was able to get us in through the window mission impossible style :)

That's Johnny boy on the porch

And as if we were afraid of getting bored on the trip, Declan had thoroughly prepared for the worst...

Family Feud all the way!

It was off to the beach for most of us on the first day. Being the idiots that we are (yes offence guys... no i'm only kidding) we ran straight into the water not realising how bloody darn cold it was. But i guess we were pretty much used to it after that since we had no hot water back at home, that's right folks cold showers... yay! This beach ritual was continued for almost every day of the week... boredom doesn't seem to exist in Torquay.

I cannot stress how many times on the trip that the line "oh geez why isn't Sunshine like this?" or " i want to live here" were said. And its true, the place was almost too good to be true! Like this one time we were walking back to the house from the beach, and decided to sing (as we did most of the holiday :D) Stand by me, when a group of locals behind us and a few neighbours outside started to sing along, feel free to omg right about now... When the house was asleep, it was Terminator time for Annie and I, and i must say it has to be one of the greatest trilogy series ever! JOHN CONNER!

Sunrise

The following holiday cliches were accomplished:

- bonfire
- wakeup pranks
- partying into the night
- pulling off all nighters
- campfire songs
- marshmallows over the campfire
- camping out on the beach

That's Johnny boy on the porch Poor Declan and Michelle were raided with pillows at 7 in the morning and Annie and I WMUAHAHA (sorry guys, it was all her idea!)

Despite all the little bits of annoyingness throughout the trip, such as Johnsie's numerous farewells, it really was the best holiday anyone could ever ask for. :)

K-later!

We're a cool band
(thanks to the creep face on my shoulders)

Btw, things sound much better to the ear with the letter 'k' in front wouldn't you agree?
